Question 1

What is the Guardian Home Program at Autumn Breeze Dachshunds?

Accepted Answer

The Guardian Home Program at Autumn Breeze Dachshunds is a unique opportunity for families to co-own a breeding dog. This program allows the dog to live in a loving home while still being part of our breeding program. Families in the program provide a nurturing environment, and in return, they receive a high-quality dachshund at a reduced cost.

The Guardian Home Program ensures that our breeding dogs live in a family environment rather than being kenneled. This provides them with the love, care, and attention they deserve while still allowing us to maintain our high breeding standards.

Question 3

What are the requirements to join the Guardian Home Program?

Accepted Answer

To join the Guardian Home Program, families must meet specific criteria, including providing a safe and loving home, ensuring the dog receives proper care and nutrition, and being located within a certain distance from our facility for breeding purposes.

Question 4

What responsibilities do Guardian Home families have?

Accepted Answer

Guardian Home families are responsible for the day-to-day care of the dog, including feeding, grooming, and regular vet visits. They must also make the dog available for breeding purposes as agreed upon in the program contract.

Accepted Answer

Once the Guardian Home Program ends, the dog is spayed or neutered and becomes the full property of the Guardian Home family, allowing them to enjoy their beloved pet without any further breeding obligations.
